GAME STRUCTURE
The game has 3 periods
Each period = 1 beer
Each period has 2 goalies
Take breaks between periods (intermissions encouraged)
Each player uses their own Sip & Snipe glass
Fill to the first line of pucks
Goalies are played in the numbered order printed on the glass
HOW A SHOT WORKS
Players alternate turns on their own glass
On your turn:
Take one shot (the amount you drink is your aim)
See where the liquid level stops (colored zone)
Apply the result
SHOT RESULTS
Take a shot (drink).
Check the beer level.
Your sip decides your fate.
See where you landed:
đź”´ Red = Goal
Nice shot. You scored.
🟡 Yellow = Rebound
One extra sip — you’re still in it.
🔵 Blue = Penalty
Bad read. Opponent is on the Power Play.
Their next shot is worth TWO goals if they score.
**Drink past the second puck line on the first shot of the period?Â
That’s not sniping — that’s panic drinking. Embarrassing
-1 goal.
After both goalies in a period are completed:
Take a break if needed
Move to the next period
Refill to the 12 oz line
If tied after 3 periods:
Refill to the 12 oz line
Alternate shots
Continue through goalies in regular order
Next goal wins
Taylor skates down first.
He shoots — sips — trying to park the beer perfectly in the red zone on Goalie #1.
The level hits red.
Goal.
Taylor’s on the board. +1.
Angel takes it down next — on her own glass.
She lines up her shot on Goalie #1, aiming for red.
The beer settles… in blue.
Penalty.
Now Taylor’s next shot on Goalie #2 is worth TWO goals if he buries it in red. Pressure’s on.
They both drink down to the next puck line to reset for their second shot in Period 1.
Taylor lines up on Goalie #2.
He sips. Tries to stop it clean in red.
It doesn’t touch any color zone.
Save.
Nothing happens. Angel’s penalty expires.
Angel’s turn on Goalie #2.
She shoots. Lands in red.
Goal. +1 for Angel.
Game tied.
Refill to the top puck line.
Now they move to Period 2 — Goalies #3 and #4.
Refill again.
Final period: Goalies #5 and #6.
Most goals wins.
Who Shoots First?
You could just decide who goes first like normal, functioning adults…
or you can spice things up with a very unnecessary hockey-themed twist on rock-paper-scissors.
On “shoot,” throw:
BlockerÂ
GloveÂ
StickÂ
Winner gets the first shot.
Loser gets chirped.
Completely optional. Mildly competitive. Way more fun than flipping a coin.
Sip & Snipe is designed to be played at your own pace.
Hydrate, take breaks, and drink responsibly.
21+ only. Do not drink and drive.
